Opening Letter 2026: The Beginning of Our Next Transformative Chapter

Dear Colleagues,

As we welcome 2026, I want to start by expressing my deepest appreciation for your extraordinary hard work, resilience, and dedication over the past year. 2025 was a year of transition for Mentor Media and for many of us, on a deeply personal level. Yet through every challenge, we held firm, stood united, and tirelessly delivered exceptional value to our customers despite the relentless pressures of a volatile market, unpredictable global supply chains disruptions, and the ever-shifting tides of economic changes

This year, 2026, is not merely a continuation of our extraordinary journey – it’s the dawn of a transformative chapter — one that will shape our identity and legacy for the next decade to come.

The World in 2026 – A Time of Challenges and Boundless Possibilities

The global landscape in 2026 is expected to be as dynamic as ever:

  • Geopolitical tensions continue to reshape supply chains and trade flows.
  • Customers now demand speed, flexibility, sustainability, and transparency like never before.
  • Digitalization is accelerating, and AI-powered operations are rapidly becoming essential to compete and thrive.
  • Cost pressures from inflation to energy volatility ripple through industries, demanding smart, decisive actions.

These forces present challenges, but they also create unprecedented opportunities for companies that are agile, bold, and united in purpose.

Mentor Media is one of those companies. Mentor is not just navigating the turbulent environment — we have the power to shape it.

2026 will be a defining year for us as we embark on a company-wide transformative journey that is designed to strengthen our culture, amplify our capabilities, and secure sustainable growth. Our transformation will be built on three powerful pillars:

  1. Empowering Our People – Our greatest strength has always been you – our people. This year, we remain absolute in our commitment to help you become successful by investing in:
  • leadership development,
  • cross-site collaboration,
  • skills upgrading, and
  • a vibrant culture that encourages open dialogue, continuous learning, and shared ownership.

I want every single one of you — from the warehouse and production floors, from frontline customer service to corporate teams — to feel empowered to contribute ideas, challenge the status quo, and take pride in driving meaningful change. Empowerment is not a word – it is the very fuel that will power our future.

  1. Transforming the Way We Operate – To stay ahead in today’s market, we must operate smarter, faster, and be more digitally savvy than ever before. This year, we will focus on:
  • strengthening operational excellence across all sites,
  • accelerating digital adoption through platforms like CloudX,
  • illuminate decision-making through enhanced data visibility
  • optimize cost to sustain long-term competitiveness, and
  • diversifying our customer mix and service offerings.

Transformation is not a sprint; it is a steadfast march forward. Every step we take brings Mentor closer to a more agile, integrated, and future-ready Mentor Media.

  1. Building Sustainable Growth for the Long Term – Sustainability is no longer optional — it is a responsibility; a competitive advantage in global competitiveness. In 2026, we will:
  • Strengthening existing green initiatives within our operations and actively seeking to introduce new ones,
  • aligning closely with Elanders Group’s sustainability vision,
  • expand circular economy services including repair, and value recovery,
  • collaborate deeply with partners and customers to reduce emissions and waste.

True sustainability transcends compliance — it embodies responsibility, innovation, and future market leadership.

The world will continue to shift. Markets will continue to evolve. New challenges will emerge. But what will carry us forward — and differentiate us — is our unwavering unity, our openness to explore new ideas, and our willingness to embrace positive change.

I am excited by what lies ahead, not because it will be easy, but because of what I see in each and every single one of you. Across our sites, I see passion, professionalism, and a spirit of excellence that customers trust and our competitors’ respect.

In 2026, I invite each of you to carry three things in your heart

  • Enthusiasm — because energy inspires action.
  • Empowerment — because ownership sparks progress.
  • Transformation — because standing still is not an option.

Together, we will build a stronger Mentor Media. Together, we will write the next extraordinary chapter of our success.

Thank you for your commitment, your belief, and your confidence in our journey ahead. Let’s make 2026 a year marked by positive changes, sustainable growth, and collective achievement.

Warm regards,
Dr. Simon Sim
President & CEO
